FAQ
- Will this remove a number that just happens to be in the margin?
- Not on its own — on a multi-page document, a number only counts as a real page-number stamp if the same position carries a consistent, page-by-page sequence across more than one page. A single-page document has no second page to confirm against, so a plausible standalone number there is accepted on its shape alone.
- What if some pages don't fit the pattern?
- Each page is judged independently — a page whose stamp doesn't fit the sequence the rest of the document establishes is left completely untouched, even while its neighbors are cleaned up.
