Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms cover your use of FileSherpa, built and run by Samuel Blasko — see the Privacy Policy for who that is and how to reach him. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, the only thing to do is not use the site — there’s no account to delete and nothing to unsubscribe from.
2. The short version
FileSherpa’s tools are free, need no account, and run entirely in your browser. Use them at your own risk — we don’t promise any tool’s output is correct or fit for your specific purpose, and we don’t promise the site will always be up. Your files stay yours; we never have a copy to claim rights over. Don’t abuse the service. Czech law governs these terms, though mandatory EU consumer protections still apply to EU consumers regardless.
3. Using FileSherpa
Don’t try to abuse or circumvent the rate-limiting that protects the AI-assisted “what do you need done?” box, and don’t use FileSherpa to process or generate unlawful content. Beyond that, use the site however’s useful to you — there’s no account whose terms you could otherwise violate, since there’s no account.
4. Your files, your rights
You keep every right to your own files. Nothing about using FileSherpa transfers, licenses, or grants us any rights over them — consistent with the fact that your files are never uploaded in the first place, there’s nothing here for us to claim rights over.
5. No warranty, and use at your own risk
FileSherpa’s tools are provided as they are. We don’t guarantee that any tool’s output will be correct, complete, or fit for your particular purpose — including print-ready specifics like bleed, cut lines, or page sizing. Always check a result yourself before relying on it, especially before sending a file somewhere that can’t easily be undone, like a print shop. To the fullest extent the law allows, Samuel Blasko isn’t liable for loss or damage arising from your use of FileSherpa, including a mis-processed file.
6. No uptime or availability guarantee
FileSherpa is run by one person, not a company with a support team, so there’s no guaranteed uptime and no service-level agreement. The site can go down, change, or stop being available at any time, though there’s no plan to do so.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. If you’re an EU consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your own country’s law still apply regardless of this clause — nothing here removes a protection you’re otherwise entitled to.
8. Children
FileSherpa isn’t directed at children, consistent with the Privacy Policy’s §9: we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms ever change, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
